Studies on the Serum Cholesterol in Children

Abstract
|
|
|
The serum total cholesterol (T.C. ). Ester cholesterol (E.C.). Free cholesterol (F.C.) and Ester total ratio(E. C/T.C.) of healthy Korean children were determined.
I) In 21 infants, the average values T.C., EC., FC.,
and EC/TC were:

E. C. 107 19.9mg/dl
F.C. 54f 11.0mg/dl
E.C./T.C. 67 /~
1) In 47 children between 2 to 5 year
T.C. 169f28.2mg,!dl
E.C. 111 19.0mg/dl
F.C. 54f 9.3mg/dl
E.C./T.C. 70%
1) In 15 children between 6 to 12 years
